More Gorgon jobs expected with UXC contract

UXC Ltd has been selected to provide a lifestyle and entertainment system for workers on the Gorgon gas project. The Melbourne based company will outfit more than 3000 rooms and common areas for workers at the Gorgon project site. The Gorgon contract is worth $3 million.

Leighton contract means hundreds more Gorgon jobs

A subsidiary of Leighton has won a massive contract to deliver civil and underground works on the Gorgon gas project. This should mean hundreds of new Gorgon jobs within the next few months. The new contract covers earthworks, in-situ and precast concrete and underground services, including drainage, piping and electrical and instrumentation cabling. Gorgon Site Engineer

Description:
Assist with the construction of a major part of the Gorgon gas project. You will assist package engineers to ensure project deliverables are met in a safe and timely environment. Other duties will include being responsible for coordinating between design and construction teams in a hands on manner as well as providing support in the procurement function thus maintaining quality, good safety practice and project schedules.

Working conditions:

  • FIFO 3 weeks at Gorgon/1 week off with 45% on site allowance.

Provision of weekly feedback to EPC Scheduler on all fabrication site scheduled activities. Maintain current and accurate records of all actions outstanding using Sharepoint actions log.
